Awards recognise achievement of Haverhill students
A prestigious awards ceremony, organised by West Suffolk College, has recognised the achievements of Haverhill students.
More than 300 people attended the college’s Celebration of Achievement at St Edmundsbury Cathedral in Bury St Edmunds where
Thomas Henson, Georgina Van Zonneveld Reid and Dominika Szary were among the students to be recognised.
Thomas was named Outstanding Foundation Studies Student of the Year with course tutor Lisa Folley paying particular praise to the way he helped fellow students in the college’s Springboard programme.
He said: “I have really enjoyed myself at college and I am pleased and proud to have won this award.
Georgina, who studied Forensic Science and Applied Law Level 3, was selected as Outstanding Applied and Social Science Student of the Year while Dominika was named Outstanding Applied and Social Science Student of the Year for sport.
