Haverhill bank reopens after temporary closure

After being closed for almost two weeks because of "operational reasons" Barclays Bank's branch in Haverhill has today opened again.

Customers have today been queuing to get into the High Street bank following the reopening.

It is open between 9am and 2pm, Monday to Friday.

A Barclays spokesperson said: “We are working hard to keep our branches open for as long as possible so we can continue to support our customers.

"It was necessary to temporarily close our Haverhill branch for operational reasons, but we are pleased to say it has now re-opened and apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

“We encourage our customers to do their banking online or using the Barclays App and only visit a branch if it is absolutely necessary.

"The latest updates on financial support relating to coronavirus can be found on our website https://www.barclays.co.uk/coronavirus/.”
