Haverhill beauty salon is continuing to grow after moving into Haverhill Leisure Centre

Two beauty therapists with more than 50 years of experience between them are continuing to expand their range of treatments after moving in to their new home in Haverhill.

Gemma Greenacre and Debbie Slater are based in the Self Centre at Haverhill Leisure Centre, where they work under the name, Sunrise Beauty.

They work on separate days but are always in contact, so are able to complement each other’s work and are now at the centre for a total of four days each week.

The duo pride themselves on the fact that they are stockists of Temple Spa, the award-winning luxury skincare, spa and beauty treatments for the body and face that are all made of natural ingredients.

But Debbie, of Sturmer, and Gemma, of Haverhill, also offer a range of treatments, some of which they say are not widely found in other salons in the area.

Debbie, who has 35 years in the industry, added to Gemma’s 22, said: “We do facials, massages, waxing, manicures, pedicures and gels.

“We’ve just started to do red carpet facials, using the Temple Spa range and using more technical treatments.

“You never stop learning because the industry has changed. You can always look at new things.”

They offer electrolysis, a form of hair removal that is, said Debbie ‘not invasive to the skin but is really successful now’.

They also offer diathermy as Debbie explained: “It’s removing the red veins that a lot of ladies have. They don’t do that in many salons.

“People come in and have it done and they say ‘why didn’t I have that done years ago?’”
