Invitation issued by Haverhill Show for charities to apply for a share of monies raised
The Haverhill Show Committee is now inviting applications from local good causes and charities to become beneficiaries of monies raised at this year’s show.
The annual show will once again be held on the Recreation Ground on Camps Road on July 7, giving plenty of time for potential beneficiaries to put their names forward.
Committee member, Aaron Luccarini, said: “Last year £4,150 was given out to the beneficiaries.
“I am looking forward to hearing from and receiving applications from all the groups that work so hard and contribute so much to help others in the town.”
Joe Mason, chairman of the Haverhill Show Committee, said of this year’s preparations: “We have a great team working hard to make this year’s event the biggest yet.
“Whilst the focus is on raising money for local good causes, we also want to ensure the event is always a fun family day out which celebrates local talent and showcases local businesses.
“In 2019 we will have some new additions to the event.
“We are delighted to announce that local photographer Nikki Watts will be running the baby show this year.
“It’s really great to have her on board.”
Regarding local business involvement, secretary Julie Skuce added: “I have already had some local businesses contact us wanting to get involved in this year’s event by becoming a sponsor.
“We would not be able to put on the event without their generosity and town council support.”
All charity or sponsorship enquiries can be made by emailing, firstname.lastname@example.org or by messaging the committee via the Haverhill Show Facebook page.
