The Bestof Haverhill announced at its fifth birthday celebrations that it has chosen Haverhill-based REACH Community Projects as its charity of the year.

Elaine Carr, the founder and owner of the marketing specialist, revealed the choice at its birthday event at the Days Inn Hotel last Thursday (19).

She said: “We will be having different fund-raising events, perhaps we will ask people to bring food donations or raise money.

“We are doing that because we think REACH is a local charity and its actually helping people in our town and we think it’s a very worthwhile charity.”

At the event Elaine also praised the support that the Bestof Haverhill received from the Days Inn Hotel, which has been the venue for almost all of its monthly events.

She said: “They welcome us every time we come here. They look after us and nothing is too much trouble.”

Hannington’s Jewellers and Dizzy’s Day Nursery also collected their certificates and prizes for finishing first and second, respectively, in the Bestof’s recent Most Loved business awards in Haverhill.

Hannington’s also won the title of the Bestof’s Most Loved jewellers in the UK and Dizzy’s won the the UK’s Most Loved Nursery award.
