A social enterprise which aims to support self-employed mums is about to start meetings in Haverhill.

Haverhill Bizmums first meeting will be on March 22 at from 9.30am to 11am at the New Croft football ground in Chalkstone Way.

The meeting will include an expert session on ‘Mindset Mastery’ with Linda Barbour to help people to become be the ‘mistress of their own mindset’.

Bizmums came to Suffolk last year when Emma Joy-Staines needed to continue her business, with her children in tow, while her amputee husband had a major operation.

Emma had seen Bizmums and says she could not believe it was as simple as they made out but says it has exceeded expectations.

She added: “Suffolk Bizmums have had fantastic success at establishing new connections amongst the business community and inspiring many new starters.

“The membership and attendees are extremely varied with established and new business owners.

“The meetings have a fantastic, friendly buzz and the groups are very welcoming. People come who have never ever considered networking and others who have done so for years it is a very generous and supportive environment with a focus on doing business with each other.”

They also meet in Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, Newmarket and Ely and say the meetings are child friendly.

The first meeting you got to is free then it is £6 a meeting or you can join the Bizmums national network for £12 a month for access to all meetings across the UK and to online support.
