Former Haverhill Echo office becomes home to three businesses, all run by one family

Members of the same family have taken over a building that was once home to the Haverhill Echo and are now using it as a premises for three separate businesses.

The building in Queen’s Square is now home to Aerial Motion, owned by Emily Stockings, Suffolk Laser Clinic, owned by Emily’s sister-in-law Zoe Stockings and her partner Harry Coker, and Suffolk Aesthetics Clinic, run by Zoe’s mum Kerry Stockings.

For the past three years Emily has been teaching pole and aerial hoop fitness classes from home while continuing to work part-time as a mental health nurse.

Over the same period of time Zoe and Harry had one treatment room above Legacy Tattoo, in Queen’s Square, which is owned by Mike Stockings, Emily’s husband and Zoe’s brother.

Emily said the building they now occupied then became available and they jumped at the chance to take it.

“We saw it was empty and it’s right across from my husband’s shop and it was really convenient timing that the rest of the family wanted to expand their businesses, so we can combine them in the premises.

“We all wanted to expand and move on to somewhere different and the space here was perfect.

“It meant I could expand even more and have a nicer place to work from.”

While Aerial Motion is downstairs, the other businesses are on the first floor.

Suffolk Laser Clinic uses state-of-the-art equipment, using laser treatment to remove or shade down tattoos, hair and vein removal, acne treatment as well as offering non-invasive fat removal using a 3D lipo machine and non-invasive facelifts.

Zoe said: “We have people coming from Chelmsford for weekly treatments, and from Stowmarket, so we do have people coming from outside Haverhill to have treatments here. It’s become really popular.”

Kerry is this week launching Suffolk Aesthetics Clinic, also based on the first floor.

A qualified nurse, she has been teaching basic life support and first aid up and down the country, explained Zoe.

She will now teach first aid skills, as well as offer botox and fillers at her newly established business premises.
