Haverhill Rotary Club thanks its Swimalong participants




Participants in the Rotary Club of Haverhill & District's recent charity Swimalong received certificates and medals at a presentation evening at Haverhill Golf Club on Monday.

Thirty swimmers, in teams, took part in the the hour swim at Haverhill Leisure Centre in November, raising more than £1,500. The youngest swimmer was nine. The oldest over 80.

The beneficiaries were Haverhill Rotary, Focus on Africa, End Polio, Little Wonders Pre School, West End Congregational Church and REACH.

Each team received a certificate detailing the number of lengths swam and the total sponsorship raised. Each team member was also presented with a commemorative medal.

Rotarian Chris Briggs thanked Haverhill Rotary Club for organising the event and Abbeycroft Leisure for hosting it.
