The arrangements provided a variety of contrasts and warmth for all visitors.

Father David Middleton OSA, parish priest of the Mother of Good Counsel Church at the Priory, said: “The variety of the floral displays provided much interest, and the artistic accomplishment of each display earned wonder and admiration.

“We were delighted with the numbers of visitors and their appreciative comments.

“The story that unfolded through flowers really mirrored the history of the Order of St Augustine. Thanks goes to all our visitors and to our hard-working and enthusiastic team of flower-arrangers.”

It is hoped the flower festival will become an annual event at the church following its success.
