Counting down to a finished clock

How the completed clock could look

Haverhill’s town clock, that is planned for Jubillee Walk, has come one step closer to completion.

At a town council meeting on December 16, it was announced that the sculptural angels, that will surround the clock atop a plinth, are finished and that the clock is a step closer to completion.

The three faced clock was designed by students at Samuel Ward Academy and was championed by the late Haverhill councillor, Gordon Cox.

A plaque, commemorating Cllr Cox and his contribution to Haverhill and its community, will be erected near the clock in celebration of his involvement.

The idea of the plaque was approved by Haverhill’s town council and the Haverhill Area Working Group.
