Haverhill Borough manager Ben Cowling has resigned after three-and-a-half very successful seasons in charge.

Cowling now has responsibility for the day to day running of the club after taking up a new post of technical and sporting director/chairman in a restructure that the club believes will benefit its continued development in coming years.

His assistant, Martin Westcott has taken over as first team manager and Barry Geoghegan has quit as chairman to become commercial manager.

Former Haverhill Rovers and Long Melford centre-back Gareth Thomas has also moved from Halstead Town to take up the role of assistant first team manager.

Gary Brown will continue as the club’s vice chairman, working alongside Cowling.
