TESCO JIGSAW PIECE FALLS INTO PLACE

The future of Tesco in Haverhill was shining a little brighter as it was announced that Buildbase, then located in the old Hovis Mill, was planning to relocate to Haverhill business park.

The move increased speculation about the future of the site in the Pightle, which was not a ,listed building.

It was suggested a roundabout or gyratory system could be created using the Buildbase site to give access to Tesco and the Buildbase decision would impact heavily on the supermarket’s plans for the area.

DROP-IN CENTRE WHERE PROBLEMS ARE SHARED

A new drop in centre in Haverhill aimed to help people with low confidence, stress or personal problems, to get back on track.

Trained staff at the Life Link offered informal advice over a cup of coffee and could put people in touch with services that could help with matters including counselling, work, and volunteering.

“Health manager, Neil Foster, said: “We’re hoping to provide something that would meet a whole spectrum of needs.”
