Entries open for Thurlow run

A new race has been added to the autumn roster, and entries are open now.

Haverhill Running Club’s highly regarded race, the Thurlow 10M, is marking it’s 5th year with the introduction of a new 5-mile race.

The event will take place on Sunday, October 18.

Both races have been selected for inclusion in the prestigious Suffolk Grand Prix race series.

Haverhill Running Club has also announced the sponsors of this year’s event are to be Feelgood Fitness and Haverhill Chiropractic Centre.

Entries for both races are now open. There is an £8 entry fee for the 5-mile race (£10 if not affiliated to England Athletics) and a £10 charge for the 10-mile race (£12 if not EA affiliated).

The course is a mixture of quiet country lanes and private farm track, offering scenic views of the woods and farmland of the Thurlow Estate.

Following feedback from last year’s entrants, the club will no longer be giving every runner a race memento. Instead they’ll be offering cheaper race entry and a cup of tea and piece of cake at the finishing line.

People can enter online at www.haverhillrunningclub.com where they will also find additional information about the race. For all enquiries please email racesecretary@haverhillrunningclub.com
