The borough council was quick to respond when explicit graffiti appeared on a path in Haverhill Recreation Ground.

The rogue graffiti artist daubed the pavement with multi- coloured writing, including what police called ‘explicit’ words as well as a crudely drawn ‘phallic symbol’.

The incident took place overnight between April 21 and April 22. The graffiti was quickly removed by council contractors.

Anyone with any information on this should contact Haverhill police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
