A fire broke out at fragrance and flavour manufacturer IFF last night.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to the site, in Duddery Hill, at 6.17pm following an automatic fire alarm activation.

On arrival, crews found a small fire which had occurred in the lagging attached to a vessel.

The crew used 1 hosereel to extinguish some remaining hot spots and checked for further fire spread using the thermal imaging camera.

They worked with the on site maintenance team to remove the damaged lagging and make the area safe.
