A former nurse from Haverhill has taken on the UK distribution of a unique stocking made from milk.

To coincide with his new-look and newly branded Compression.Solutions business, Paul Moore has grown his range of compression stockings and application aids to include the revolutionary ‘milkteds’ which help prevent or relieve tiredness, early swelling, spider veins and mild varicose veins.

Paul, who has grown his online business over 11 years, said: “Compression stockings have long been associated with being hard to put on, itchy and scratchy when you have them on and often unfashionable.

“The milkteds offer a stylish and luxurious alternative while also benefitting from cutting edge technology.

“The product is made from a milk fibre yarn mix – so drinking milk – and helps people from all manner of backgrounds, from travel to maternity, sport to recovery.”

A nurse for five decades, Paul hopes his rebranded business will help spread awareness of potential problems.

He explained: “It’s not just the elderly and infirm that need compression socks. “More and more people are recognising the benefits they offer – including workers who spend a large proportion of their day on their feet like nurses, retail workers and restaurant staff.

“Conversely, those who spend most of their working day sitting down can also benefit.

“By simply wearing the right compression stocking, the risk can be lessened and the results miraculous. Quite simply, you can get your quality of life back.”

Paul, who was a nurse in many hospitals throughout the NHS and private sector, started Moore UK online in 2004, growing the business over the next 11 years before rebranding as Compresson.Solutions.

Over the years he has significantly extending his range to now incorporate the milkteds, which originated from Manchester and comes packaged in traditional milk cartons.

After the relaunch, Paul, who comes from Haverhill, said: “I wanted to create a one-stop online shop for compression garments and application aids.

“Using my extensive nursing experience and understanding of issues arising from medical and lifestyle conditions, I am able to offer comprehensive advice and first class customer service.”
