Young Jack Rulten met former Ipswich Town FC player Alan Lee during a fund-raising dinner held the Plough pub in Rede by the Haverhill branch of the Ipswich Town FC Supporters Club.

The seven-year-old, from Haverhill, was among the guests who met Mr Lee, who now works for the ITFC Academy and hosted the event with his wife. Together they spoke about their involvement with the club.

Also there was Liz Edwards, chairman of the ITFC Supporters Club.

A question and answer session was also held during the dinner last Tuesday (March 3)

Mr Lee has also promised that he will join the Haverhill branch when it holds its annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Great Meadow in Kedington on Saturday, April 4 at 2pm.
