Fun day launch for new community hub

A new community hub to help people with dementia and those over 65-years-old at risk of social isolation was launched in Haverhill on Saturday.

The launch of The Memories Are Golden Community Hub, based in the renovated Old Parkway School, was celebrated with a family fun day in the grounds.

Kelly Kennedy-Smith, manager of the hub, said: “It went amazingly well. The support we got was brilliant. It was busy all of the time.”

Around 500 people attended.

The hub will be opening on September 10, on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9.30am and 2.30pm, anyone who would like to attend is asked to contact Kelly on 07538920731.
