Kedington education setting celebrates an 'outstanding' inspection
Ketton Early Birds Pre-school and Out of School Care setting in Kedington has been awarded an “outstanding” rating by OFSTED following its recent inspection.
The December 6 inspection resulted in the rating of “outstanding” being awarded across all areas, meeting the needs and wellbeing of children effectively, and demonstrating excellence in leadership and management.
The report highlighted a number of key findings which included the manager demonstrating “a drive to ensure the setting provides the best learning environment possible” and that “staff are highly tuned to children’s interests and provide excellent support to whatever motivates them”.
The children’s behaviour is described as “exemplary” and the children also demonstrated “high levels of independence”. The report also praised the “exceptionally supportive staff” and the positive difference this makes to the environment including how they “help children to overcome frustrations in their learning”. The staff were also noted to have “calm and respectful interactions with children” and value ongoing professional development.
Setting manager Sarah Long said: “We are overjoyed with the outcome from OFSTED.
"We have a team of exceptional and remarkably dedicated staff, so it’s fantastic to have their hard work acknowledged.
"We are also very grateful to all the parents who support Ketton Early Birds, and of course to the children. It’s a fantastic recognition for everyone involved and we couldn’t be more delighted.”
Committee Chair Carly Loveday added: “The staff at Ketton Early Birds all work so hard to make sure every child in their care has the best possible start to education and we’re so pleased this has been recognised in the report.
"It was also brilliant to read how complimentary parents were about the setting.
"We’re absolutely thrilled with the “outstanding” rating, and would like to thank all our staff, parents and carers for their ongoing commitment and care.”
