Greenest County Community Awards deadline approaching

The closing date for entries to the Greenest County Awards is fast approaching and Suffolk County Council is urging all those green minded businesses, communities, schools and individuals to nominate themselves by next Friday (January 31).

Now in their seventh year, the Creating the Greenest County Awards highlights the excellent environmental achievements going on across Suffolk, celebrating inspirational projects and people.

This year’s awards will see the introduction of the Public Vote award in the Greenest Community Project category.

This award will celebrate a community or a group of local volunteers who are working together to improve their surrounding environment, raising environmental awareness and making a difference to others.

Students from Suffolk One will be making videos of the finalists to go online which will be open for the public to vote on.

The final shortlist will then be put to a public vote.
