Festival goers set to go wild for Groove Armada
World renowned DJs and music producers Groove Armada will play in the Wildwood Disco at Horseheath Racecourse, near Haverhill, on June 30.
For Tom Findlay and Andy Cato, who hail from Cambridge, it will be the first time they have played in their home county.
They are supported by Stanton Warriors, house music legend Seb Fontaine, festival favourites Plump DJs and The Head Gardener, DJ Sophie Lloyd will also appear.
Vicky Fenton, festival director/promoter, said: “The Wildwood Disco ran for the first time last year with Jazzie B as our headliner and it was a sell-out event in this magical woodland setting – like an old school party.
“We were overwhelmed by the positive response to the disco last year and knew we needed to come back bigger and better this year.
“We are delighted to have such a high-profile act as Groove Armada as our headline act, and to be the ones that bring them back to play on home turf.
“We pride ourselves on high production values and attention to detail, our goal is to create a memorable one-day event and keep the crowd small so it’s just an amazing party under the canopy of the trees.”
There is a second stage this year, the Sundown Stage, with sleazy disco and funk from DJ Jo Sennitt and Ibiza-style chill out tunes from the local Wonky Disco DJs.
The event features a ‘Wild and Winding Path’, a magical route through the forest with surprises to discover, art installations and relaxing spaces, lasers, entertainers, fire pits, bars and street food
The mini-festival runs from 2pm-2am, camping is an option, Gates open at midday for campers. Tier 3 tickets are on sale at £45. Shuttle bus tickets are available from central Cambridge –
