Haverhill 11-year-old sets up a hair-brained fund-raiser
Altruistic Lauren Hemmings, 11 will be saying farewell to her one foot long locks for a national charity that helps children who have had treatment for cancer.
The year seven student at Castle Manor Academy, who lives in Connaught Road, Haverhill, is going to have her hair cut to raise money for The Little Princess Trust, which uses real human hair to make wigs for children that have lost their hair after having treatment for cancer.
Lauren’s hair is being cut at 2pm on Saturday, April 2 by Sonia Humphrey (owner of Sonia’s Hair and Beauty in Haverhill) at Mathilda Rose Hair and Beauty in Withersfield Road.
