Members of the 1451 Haverhill Air Cadets were recognised for their achievements in 2015 during an awards evening and formal dining-in event last Friday (Feb 5).

It was Haverhill Air Cadets first dining-in night for many years, with 63 cadets, family and friends, as well as ex-members, all invited to celebrate what was a successful 2015 for the squadron, enjoyed over a three course meal provided by Haverhill Golf Club.

Many awards were presented, including best cadet, best shot, Cadet of the Year, and best attendance to name a few.

The awards celebrate the countless activities the cadets do every year, highlighting the best from each, adding that extra bit of competition with one another.

1451 Haverhill Air Cadets Commanding Officer, Flight Lieutenant Henry Bowden RAFVR(T), said: “It has be an amazing year, and I am so proud to have led these fantastic cadets throughout the year.

“It was an honour to award the cadets, and a massive thank you to the Haverhill Golf Club for their great hospitality.”
