THURLOW NUNN LEAGUE

FIRST DIVISION

Halstead Town 1 Haverhill Borough 0

A deflected goal mid way through the second half provided all three points for Halstead in a disappointing encounter on the final day of Borough’s league season.

The only goal of the match arrived on 55 minutes after the hosts broke smartly from defence.

The ball was moved quickly across the edge of the penalty area to Hutchings whose shot appeared to be flying wide before it was deflected in by Brad Keefe.

Borough created few clear cut opportunities and rarely looked like equalising.

The defeat means Borough end the season in sixth place, slipping one place down the table from their position before the start of the match thanks to Kings Lynn Town Reserves victory.
