Haverhill business event will hear expert advice on gaining media exposure
The business community in and around Haverhill will be able to gain some top tips on how to best use public relations to their benefit when the next thebestof Haverhill monthly event takes place.
Guest speaker, David Stoch from Meerkat PR, specialises in national press exposure for small to medium enterprises and will be at the event, which runs from 10am to 11.30am at the Days Inn hotel on Thursday, October 15.
With over 12 years of experience in building relationships with journalists and the media David understands what captures their interest.
He has worked for over a decade in London building a prestigious portfolio of clients in a diverse range of industry sectors including property, business consultancy, personal finance, recruitment and travel.
David works closely with his clients to raise their profile and reputation through the use of publicity. After relocating to Suffolk in April, David has already established his own reputation in the region as a PR expert and is becoming an active member of the business community.
During his presentation David will explain how PR works and the value it can bring to businesses, regardless of their size or industry sector.
Attendees will learn how to identify their PR story versus their marketing message and how they can capture genuine media interest by using the right tools and etiquette.
Elaine Carr, owner of thebestof Haverhill comments, “We are very fortunate to have David Stoch as our speaker.
“He is a well connected PR specialist with the respect and trust of some of the top journalists from national newspapers, including the Daily Mail and The Guardian.
“For many small businesses PR involves simply sending out a press release to the local paper and hoping that it gets covered.
“David will provide an insight into what PR really is and how even a small business can use it effectively.
“This will be a practical session where local business owners can learn the steps they need to take to generate their own PR and unlock the vast potential it has to offer.”
This is a free event hosted by the Days Inn Haverhill. It is open to all local businesses and organisations, you do not have to be member of the bestof Haverhill to attend.
