Haverhill businesses are UK’s best
Hanningtons Jewellers and Dizzy’s Day Nursery in Haverhill have each been crowned the winner of a national business award.
As part of the thebestof Haverhill Local & Loved Business Awards 2015 Hanningtons was named the Most Loved Business in Haverhill and Most Loved Jeweller in the UK.
Although Dizzy’s was pipped to the Haverhill award it was still named Most Loved Nursery in the UK for a second year running.
Following a three week campaign, which is based on verified customer reviews, Hanningtons had 118 reviews compared to 106 for Dizzy’s. Preview Property Services was third with 24.
Aron Woodward, manager of Hanningtons said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have won the Most Loved Business in Haverhill and the Most Loved Jeweller in the UK.
“It’s the first time we have ever entered any type of award but I don’t think it will be the last! “Initially we were a bit shy to ask people to leave a review but the Local & Loved Awards gave us the incentive we needed. Now we know that people are happy to acknowledge good service.
“I am really glad we took part in Local & Loved, thanks to everyone who took the time to leave us a review.”
Liz Nunn, the owner of Dizzy’s Day Nursery, said: “We are delighted to have kept our title. Since joining thebestof Haverhill in December 2012 we have gained 1,010 reviews.
“It is really inspiring and motivating for the team to know how much they are appreciated. I would like to thank everyone who has left a review for us.”
Hanningtons opened its first shop in 1984 and offers a wide range of jewellery, gifts and services including jewellery repairs, cleaning and ear piercing.
In August 2014 a new shop was opened - Boutique Jewellery by Hanningtons and in October they became members of the bestof Haverhill.
The Local & Loved Business Awards encourages local people to vote for local companies by writing a review for them and involves bestof franchises across the UK.
This year the competition was tougher as reviews were only counted if they were verified by the reviewer. For more on the story go to www.haverhillecho.co.uk.
