Haverhill Coral Society keen to continue success
Haverhill Choral Society is looking to build on the success of recent performances with its latest concert.
Members of the society are busy rehearsing for ‘Its a Gas’ - a tribute to Gilbert and Sullivan - which will take place at the town’s Arts Centre at 7.30pm on April 17.
Last year the society performed ‘Carmina Burana’ in April and Handel’s Messiah with orchestra in December. Both concerts were held in Hundon Church and were attended by audiences of more than 100.
David Rowlinson, chairman of the society, said 30 members of the choir were also to perform with singers from Haverhill’s twin town of Pont St Esprit in Provence, where they will sing in a local church.
