Haverhill crime is down in figures update

Police have given an update on crime figures in Haverhill and have shown that overall crime is down compared to their three year average.

Overall crime, from April 2014 to the present day, is at 1,407 incidents compared to a three year average of 1,451. Of these, there is a 37 per cent detection rate.

There were 766 incidences of anti-social behaviour compared to a three year average of 1107.

Acquisitive crime was down to 589 from an average of 619. Domestic burglary was down from 56 to 47.

There were seven robberies compared to an average of eight and vehicle crime was down from 154 incidents to 106.

Criminal damage was down from 350 incidents to 284.

Incidences of shoplifting were up from 115 to 164, drug crimes were up from 59 to 89, while crimes including violence against a person were up from 283 to 321.
