Haverhill darts league hits the bullseye for Hospice

A group of Haverhill fundraisers have hit the bullseye for St Nicholas Hospice Care after their competitive fun helped raise cash.

The Monday Night Haverhill Charity Darts League handed over a cheque to the hospice for £1,318.50.

The money was raised as part of their summer league and funds were collected through donations, charity pots, competition nights, raffles and other events. The league, which is currently made up of 15 teams was set up by Andrew Pordage five years ago in memory of his mother Lynne Pordage who passed away at the hospice.

The Red Lion in Sturmer (pictured) raised a total of £257.91 and they were presented with the Lynne Pordage Cup for donating the most amount of money. Any pubs in the Haverhill area that would like to join the league, contact Andrew Pordage on 07814 373772.
