The building of Haverhill Research Park’s Epicentre has been delayed.

It had been hoped that work would begin soon and that parts of the Epicentre could be completed in 2015 with the creation of up to 300 jobs.

Work has now been pushed back as the Local Enterprise Partnerships, from whom the project is receiving funding, didn’t put out guidelines on the building until February.

“The ball’s in their court now,” said Helen Chaplin of Haverhill Research Park. “We had hoped to be able to get building, but we’ve hit a bit of a stumbling block.

“We’ve submitted several options on a building that will adhere to what they need and we’re waiting to hear back from them about their decision and how to proceed.

“We will get it built, it’s just how and when.”
