Haverhill documentary-maker and director Mark Allard has been featured in the most recent issue of the newsletter by IEP New Zealand, the country’s leading experts in working holiday programmes.
He is also set to be featured in an upcoming ITV documentary that focuses on people who have overcome a lot in their life and have come to some sort of point of triumph.
The film crew were at the airport when he departed England last August.
Mark has just moved to Alberta in Canada to work as a manager for Magic Lantern Theatres having spent just over five months travelling and working in New Zealand.
Before embarking on his travels Mark, who was a technician at Haverhill Cineworld and lived in the town, directed a number of documentaries.
They include the 2011 feature about Haverhill’s parkour and freerunning community, We Run These Streets and the 2012 documentary about a London gig by the US progressive metal band, Halcyon Way, called Live in London.
