Haverhill girl’s haircut nets £1,250 plus for charity
A charity that provides wigs for children that have lost their hair due to treatment for cancer is more than £1,200 better off thanks to a ten-year-old girl from Haverhill.
Lauren Shores has raised a whopping £1,285 - with possibly more to come - for the Little Princess Trust after deciding to have one foot of her locks cut off at her home in Strawberry Fields by hairdresser Sarah Moore.
The Burton End Primary Academy pupil set her heart on helping the charity after learning of its work and had initially set herself a simple target of just £50.
That figure has been smashed by a staggering 2,510 per cent.
Lauren’s mum Tracy, who described her daughter as a ‘thoughtful and kind little girl’ has this week sent off her hair and the proceeds from the fund-raiser.
