The manager of Hanningtons Jewellers in Haverhill has been awarded a Professional Jewellers Diploma and Professional Jewellers’ Management Diploma by The National Association of Goldsmiths.

Aron Woodward has been working for Hanningtons since June 2007, originally as a Saturday sales assistant, then as a full-time sales assistant before becoming manager just over one year ago.

He has been studying for the National Association of Goldsmith qualifications since going full time and said: “Since being promoted to manager I still enjoy being a familiar face on the shop floor and interacting with our customers.

“I love to hear their feedback and always take it on board. By listening to our customers we can continually improve the business.

“It is also good for my personal development and the team appreciate the recognition of their hard work.

Aron recently led the team to victory in the Local and Loved Awards2015.

Hanningtons were crowned The Most Loved Jewellers in the UK and The Most Loved Business in Haverhill.

Pat Hunnisett, owner of Hanningtons Jewellers and Boutique Jewellery said: “We have fully supported Aron throughout his training courses.

“We are delighted that he has done so well with the Professional Jewellers’ Management Diploma.

“This is a vital part of his professional training and will enable him to progress and grow as a store manager.”

Hanningtons is a well established Jewellers in Haverhill, who opened their first shop 35 years ago.

They offer a wide range of gold and silver jewellery, gift and glassware as well as services including jewellery and watch repairs and ear piercing.

In August 2014 the company expanded and opened their second branch in the High Street - Boutique Jewellery by Hanningtons. The new Boutique specialises in modern fashion jewellery brands including Bering, Nomination, ChloBo, Hot Diamonds and Sif Jakobs.
