Haverhill man charged with possession of cannabis

A Haverhill man has been charged with possession of a class B drug after a raid at his home.

Jamie Loryman, 40, from Anglia Place, will appear at West Suffolk Magistrates’ Court in Bury St Edmunds on February 7.

It is alleged that police found 18 young cannabis plants and nine recently harvested plants and other paraphenalia associated with drugs cultivation when they executred a drugs warrant at his home last Wednesday (January 22).

Inspector Peter Ferrie of Haverhill Police said: “The special warrants team are being allocated warrants not just in Haverhill but also in the surrounding area, with the last two raids being in the town.”
