Matthew Hancock MP for Haverhill has stepped up for Sport Relief and won £500 to be donated to charity.
Mr Hancock was among the MPs taking part in a challenge to see how far they could walk up Big Ben in three minutes using a step machine.
Putting all his energy into the task (as the above picture shows), Mr Hancock clocked up 490 steps, putting him 77 ahead of his nearest parliamentary rival.
In coming out on top Mr Hancock collected £500, which will go to a Sport Relief charity still to be decided.
“I was thrilled to be named the winner and that a charity in West Suffolk is set to benefit,” he said.
“I hope I can encourage others to get out there and fundraise.”
Mr Hancock is asking residents to help him choose where the money should be donated. Go to www.facebook.com/matthancockmp.
