As part of National Poetry Day on October 8, Kedington Library hosted an evening of poetry with Haverhill poet and author Christopher James.

A winner of prestigious prizes, including the National Poetry Competition, the Bridport Prize and an Eric Gregory Award, Christopher delighted his audience with a mixture of local knowledge, history and humour, proving that poetry could be fun.

As an extra treat, he read a snippet from his first Sherlock Holmes novel, The Adventure of the Ruby Elephants to be published on November 18 by MX Publishing. Christopher’s poetry books are available from www.templarpoetry.com.
