Haverhill school children go back in time
Year five and six pupils at St Felix RC Primary School in Haverhill turned their learning space into a Museum of Victorian Life.
The museum’s interactive Victorian games, attempting copperplate handwriting and discovering a secret compartment in a Victorian writing slope, proved most popular.
In preparing for the museum, children practised key history, English, maths and computing skills by researching primary sources and creating artefact cards for the items that were donated.
Children at the School Lane school even created their own guidebooks and crafted items to sell at their gift shop, the proceeds of which will be donated to the Haverhill History Group.
