A school has paid tribute to Haverhill Arts Centre after it organised an autism-friendly screening especially for pupils.
Churchill Special Free School were treated to a viewing of the film ‘Pan’ at the Arts Centre with more than 40 pupils enjoying the experience.
Georgina Ellis, headteacher of the school, said: “It was wonderful to have exclusive use of the arts centre so we could meet the needs of our pupils.
“Staff and pupils alike both enjoyed and appreciated the morning. We cannot thank the arts centre staff enough for making us feel so welcome.”
The school, which provides education for pupils with speech, language and communication needs, was recently featured as a case study in Ofsted’s annual report after being hailed as outstanding in its first ever inspection in July.
