Haverhill Software company celebrates its 20th anniversary
A software company in Haverhill has celebrated 20 years in business at a reception for clients and friends at Chauntry Mills.
Sarand was set up by company directors and husband and wife team Andy and Sarah Howard in 1994 just days after they married.
The company specialises in providing bespoke software to a wide range of industries with particular experience in the health, manufacturing, logistics and motor manufacturing sectors, ensuring business processes are more straightforward and efficient.
Twenty years on, they have work with leading brands including Ford of Europe, Clifford Thames and York University, and for public sector organisations including Addenbrookes’ through to smaller manufacturing, logistics and distribution companies.
Andy Howard said: “I think what has made us successful is that as an IT company we have been able to adapt to the changes in our industry over the last 20 years and our vision from day one was to provide software that does what our clients want and not what the software dictates and is very straightforward to use.”
Sarand’s Business Manager is used by SMEs through to large businesses across the UK including Haverhill based Machinepart Engineering.
This unique software brings together critical day to day business processes to increase efficiency and profitability using Business Management Software.
Business Manager encompasses office and website functionality enabling clients to have customer relationship anagement (CRM), Sasles and purchase order processing, stock control, process control, all integrated and all in one place.
Sarah Howard is now using Sarand’s experience in business to help others in the county as President of Suffolk Chamber of Commerce.

The reception on Friday November 28 was attended by West Suffolk MP and Minister for Business, Enterprise and Energy Matthew Hancock.
