Haverhill Tractor Boy all set for his century
He is only ten-years-old, but Tractor Boy Brad Phillips is about to watch his beloved Ipswich Town team for the 100th time when they take on Reading at Portman Road on Saturday.
Brad, who lives in Elmhurst Close, Haverhill with his mum Debs and dad Rich, is a year six pupil at Westfield Primary Academy.
He watched his first match, a 1-1 draw with Burnley, on August 14, 2010, aged five.
He travels to home games with his dad on the bus provided by the Haverhill branch of the ITFC Supporters Club.
Brad, whose favourite player is this season’s top-scorer Darryl Murphy, will also be featured in Saturday’s match programme.
He said: “It’s fun and exciting and we just enjoy going. I am pretty excited (about Saturday).”
Of all the matches Brad has been to, said his dad, the 1-0 win over Arsenal in the semi-final of the League Cup ranks as his favourite.
