Motorcyclist in serious condition after crash near Linton

A young motorcyclist is in a serious condition in hospital after an accident on the A1307 yesterday evening (June 9).

The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, suffered injuries to his thorax, his legs and his arm, when he was thrown from his motorcycle on a southbound section of the A1307 near Linton.

The police were called to the scene at 5.40pm. The East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) was also called and their helicopter arrived on the scene just before 6pm.

The motorcyclist was treated at the scene by the EAAA’s Dr Marcel Rigaud and critical care paramedic, Neil Flowers.

Both Dr Rigaud and Mr Flowers accompanied the motorcyclist when he was taken by land ambulance to Addenbrooke’s hospital in Cambridge.

The motorcyclist is reported to be in a serious condition.
