Drivers are still parking illegally in Haverhill’s High Street, despite warnings and increased police presence.

Parking is currently prohibited on the High Street between 10am and 4pm from Monday to Friday, with limited access on Saturdays because of the market.

PCSO Kayla Packman is still issuing a high volume of tickets to motorists who routinely ignore the traffic rules.

“It’s not getting any better,” she said. “I’m still giving out a lot of tickets. It’s often the same people, too.”

Illegal and inconsiderate parking have been targeted by Haverhill police as part of their Safer Neighbourhood Team’s priorities which were set in December.
