The world of wizardry came to life at Haverhill Library during a Harry Potter Night.

Last Thursday’s (5) event was part of a national campaign to introduce the younger readers to JK Rowling’s books.

The 28 children present - some of them dressed as characters from the book - were sorted into Hogwarts houses, given wizard names, took part in a treasure hunt around Diagon Alley and a challenge called Where’s Dobby.

Children also received chocolate wizard coins and a wand and took part in a quiz based on the Philosopher’s Stone.
