House fire in Haverhill

Firefighters from Haverhill were called to a house in Rockall Close in the town at 8.45am today (Wednesday, January 14) to deal with a fire in an airing cupboard on the first floor.

The property was heavily smoke logged. Crews extinguished the fire using one hose reel and ventilated the property.

A thermal imaging camera was also used to check there were no further hotspots. The fire was brought under control at 9.10am and there were no casualties.
