Hundon came together to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday last Saturday.
The successful Street Party was the result of months of planning by a team combining the PCC and the Hundon Festival Committee. Volunteers erected gazebos in North Street outside the Rose & Crown, and from 1pm a steady stream of families arrived with picnics.
The idea was to bring and share and there were ample supplies for the 200 people enjoying the occasion.
There was also music, birthday cakes baked by Margaret Langridge and Chris Burford and the children received a commemorative coin specially produced for Hundon, which this year was officially designated The Most Active Large Village in Suffolk.
Although due to finish at 5pm, such was the enjoyment that many people celebrated until late evening.
