A group of 36 Ipswich Town fans - including Alan Parsley and Kevin Hunt (pictured) - enjoyed their team’s recent Old Trafford visit courtesy of a bus laid on by the Haverhill branch of the Ipswich Town Supporters Club.

The branch rarely arranges transport to away matches, but the Capital One Cup tie against Manchester United was an occasion worth making an exception for.

Aside from encountering roadworks both there and back, the trip went smoothly, even if the result didn’t as United won 3-0.

Iain Ross, from the Haverhill branch, called it: “A good, if not tiring experience and day out.”
