After a strong start, a photography group is looking for new members to add to its success.

The Kedington photography club held its first meeting in January and, since then has gained 60 members.

The group is still growing and members are looking for local talent to join them and help document the sights of the area.

“Being an enthusiastic photographer myself, I was fairly sure that there would be some interest in forming such a club,” said Mel James. “We have a Facebook group where interested persons, young and old alike, can join the club.

“People from absolute beginners to a local professional photographer have shown their support.

“The meetings are all about sharing photographic experiences and helping eachother to improve our skills.”

The group holds monthly meetings on the fourth Monday of each month at the Kedington community centre. The meetings are informal and last about two hours. There is a £2 charge per session to cover the cost of the venue.

On April 27, professional photographer Colin Edwards, will give a presentation entitled Life behind my lens.

Tickets to this talk are available by contacting the club.

Anyone interested in joining the group should contact Mel James on 07775 676112 for more information.
