Man arrested following street attack in Haverhill

A man has been arrested following an assault in Haverhill.

The assault took place at around 6.20pm on Monday September 28 in Chalkstone Way, just past Coupals Close, where a 37-year-old man was attacked sustaining superficial cuts to the head.

Yesterday afternoon, Tuesday September 29, officers arrested a 42-year-old man from Haverhill on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm.

He has been taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre where he is currently being questioned.
