New opening hours at Clare library

Clare library has changed its opening hours on a Friday.

As of Friday, November 6, the library, in High Street, is opening and closing earlier every Friday. It will be open from 12.30pm to 5pm instead of 2pm to 6.30pm.

The change comes after a consultation with customers and local organisations over new hours which it is felt would benefit local people more and result in greater use of the library.

The new hours were approved by the Friends of Clare Library, Suffolk Libraries Board and Suffolk County Council.

The change does not affect the library’s regular Friday activities – there is a baby bounce and tot rock songs and rhymes session from 10am to 11am and a Ma-jong club from 3.30pm to 5pm.
