Police are appealing for witnesses following a dog attack in Haverhill.

A woman walking with her Labrador dog were attacked by a Staffordshire dog on Monday, January 18 at 9.20am at the reservoir, in Haycock Road (A1307).

The woman suffered bite injuries to both hands and attended hospital.

The dog that was attacked had flesh type wounds to his neck and front and was treated at the veterinary surgery.

The dog involved is described as black with white patches and it was not believed to be wearing a collar.

The owner of this dog is described as being a white man, 5ft 9in tall, bald, and was wearing a black coat and dark trousers.
